BMB07/04 Oak Glen 3rd March 2007

Reports of ten or twelve Big Morongo Birders, depending on who is believed, by all accounts had a very fine morning at Oak Glen. Very cold to start, with snow on the ground, but it soon warmed up!

This is a most impressive list for Oak Glen, but a pity the Sora was missed. Many thanks to Harlan for leading what was described as a happy and funny morning – did Don have a hand in that – and to Jean for the specie list.

Congratulations to Pat Stoner, her assistants and our Junior Docents. Today’s annual Friends of BMCP garage sale raised $992 and was once again a great success.


We are advised that the Northern Saw-whet Owl recently seen at the Living Desert was found dead on Friday morning, near the front gate. One of it's wings was bloody but the cause was not obvious.
